Sound Development City 2013 | Selection N°1

26.09.2013 19:12 Sound Development City

Day two of the expedition brought the first radio transmission from the Sound Development City Radio Bus. While riding the heavy bus through the narrow streets of Lisboa, South African sound artist, curator and networker Malose Malahlela was interviewed on his work, his background and the division lines between being a sound artist and a curator / networker.

On the evening of day three, artists and spectators gathered at the extraordinary Mãe D’ Água cistern for a sound performance by Tunnelmusik.

SOUND DEVELOPMENT CITY | START EXPEDITION 2013

24.09.2013 08:00 Sound Development City

After a lot of preparations, the Sound Development City expedition has started. The 13 selected international artists document the expedition and the progress of the projects daily by posting sounds, images, texts and thoughts on the expedition’s logbook website.

An old camper van, converted into a radio studio, accompanies the expedition. In daily broadcasts the participants are interviewed on their background and work. Daily transmission via FM, live stream and upload at 7.30 pm on the Radiobus’ project website. The broadcasting times, the FM Frequencies and the URL of the live streams will be published on Facebook and Twitter.

During the Sound Development City expedition, there will be public events as well as artist performances in both Lisbon and Marseille. All dates, schedules and venues will be published on the logbook website, on Facebook and Twitter.

Sound Development City 2013 | Logbook & Call for Participants

12.09.2013 15:59 Sound Development City

This year’s Sound Development City expedition in Lisbon and Marseille starts on 23rd September. As of now, a new logbook website is online, developed in co-operation with Astrom/Zimmer. Based on the idea of an expedition logbook, the website faces the challenges of documenting our experimental format by allowing all participants to send text, sound, images and videos to their projects’ archive via various channels.

Two of this year’s projects are still looking for participants in Lisbon and Marseille:

Follow the expedition on the logbook website, on Facebook and on Twitter.

Sound Development City 2013: Jetzt bewerben

14.03.2013 15:50 Sound Development City
